It seemed like 1994 all over again. Today I listened to the Stone Temple Pilots' Purple . . . on cassette.
Posted by at January 26, 2004 07:59 PMYou still have a cassette player? I saw a guy with an 8 track player in his pickup. It was actually a fairly new pickup too.
Posted by: mike aman at January 26, 2004 08:34 PMSome things were just meant to be listened to on cassette.
Posted by: Christin at January 27, 2004 09:04 AMCassettes are the devil! There is no justification for waiting on a tape to rewind. Or having to play the other side merely because you want to get back to the side you were just listening to.
Posted by: mike aman at January 28, 2004 11:41 AMDid you know that Amy and I voted for "Vasoline" as our school song? How touching.
Posted by: Patrick at January 29, 2004 09:36 AMAmen to that, Christin! Compilation tapes are just so much better than cds...there is something you can't replace that a good tape, compilation or other brings to the listener. I recently received as gifts, seven of the best tapes I have ever heard, and had they been cds, it would not have been nearly so cool.
Posted by: Sarah at February 3, 2004 11:58 PMPurple was alright, but I think they did it best the first time around with Core. I never listened to it on cassette though. However, odd that I did this... I listened to Better Than Ezra's "Deluxe" on cassette the other night because the cd player in my room was messed up. Deluxe was the first musical anything I ever purchased. Ahh, the memories.
