Kickin' it Old School

It seemed like 1994 all over again. Today I listened to the Stone Temple Pilots' Purple . . . on cassette.

You still have a cassette player? I saw a guy with an 8 track player in his pickup. It was actually a fairly new pickup too.

Some things were just meant to be listened to on cassette.

Cassettes are the devil! There is no justification for waiting on a tape to rewind. Or having to play the other side merely because you want to get back to the side you were just listening to.

Did you know that Amy and I voted for "Vasoline" as our school song? How touching.

Amen to that, Christin! Compilation tapes are just so much better than cds...there is something you can't replace that a good tape, compilation or other brings to the listener. I recently received as gifts, seven of the best tapes I have ever heard, and had they been cds, it would not have been nearly so cool.

Purple was alright, but I think they did it best the first time around with Core. I never listened to it on cassette though. However, odd that I did this... I listened to Better Than Ezra's "Deluxe" on cassette the other night because the cd player in my room was messed up. Deluxe was the first musical anything I ever purchased. Ahh, the memories.
