Posted by: Shannon at August 27, 2003 08:03 AMLooks good. Now if only we could get Jon to move, I would have very little use for blogger. By the way, you need to change the colors on your comment system.
Posted by: Christin at August 27, 2003 08:11 AMWelcome to Chattablogs! I'm glad you made it.
Posted by: JosiahQ at August 27, 2003 08:16 AMHow does one move to Chattablogs?
Posted by: SonofThunder at August 28, 2003 08:28 AMHere's my question: When is Josiah gonna start Bayoublogs.com?
Posted by: jon amos at August 28, 2003 09:21 PMSorry, Christin, but even though I like Josiah, I'm a purist - a URL purist and a community blogging purist. I've been rude enough to tell Rick and Emeth that that I think "ontoblogical" is a stupid domain name, and I just don't live (and never have lived) in the Chattanooga community. But, even still, I'm sometimes tempted by all y'all's sexy Chattabloggin' features (the "recent comments" feature being only one little example).
Posted by: jon amos at August 28, 2003 09:27 PMOk, I'm such a purist that I've already nixed the idea of Bayoublogs.com because you'd have to spell it for most people. What about just Monroeblogs.com? I mean, I know most of y'all don't live in Monroe proper, but who cares? Monroe is where you send people to find West Monroe and Calhoun on the map. Plus, regardless of whether I ever live in Monroe again, it will always be my hometown.
Posted by: jon amos at August 28, 2003 09:34 PMmonroeblogs.com would be good, and I know we don't live in Chattanooga (in fact, I don't even know mwhat Chattanooga is called). However, part of the beauty of Chattablogs is its two-fold meaning. There's the obvious Chattanooga element, but there's also the "internet chat" concept. You can't deny the value and appeal of the double meaning.
Posted by: the booth at August 29, 2003 10:33 PMUm...Chattanooga is called Chattanooga, a city in Tennessee, which neighors Lookout Mountain, GA, right across the river. And Lookout Mtn happens to be the home of Covenant College, the liberal arts college of the PCA.
